I want to host a fundraiser, but I can't do it on May 8th. Can I host it on another day?
The official date of Do It For Dolly Day is May 8th 2026, but we understand this date doesn't work for everyone. You're welcome to host your fundraiser any day in May.
If you'd like to hold your fundraiser in another month of the year, we'll ask you to instead sign up as a Dolly's Dream community fundraiser. You can read more about this, and register to fundraise here.
Can you send me free merchandise for my fundraiser?
Due to the large number of fundraising events and requests for merchandise, we cannot send out merchandise for free.
The Bairnsdale Horse Centre is the official merchandise supplier for Dolly's Dream, with a percentage of all sales donated to Dolly's Dream. All merchandise can be purchased via the Bairnsdale Horse Centre. Click here to place an order.
Can I purchase Dolly’s Dream merchandise on consignment to sell at my event?
We’re not able to provide merchandise on consignment.
However, you can purchase items directly through the Bairnsdale Horse Centre. A percentage of all sales is donated to Dolly's Dream.

Dolly’s Dream does not supply physical donation tins for Do It For Dolly Day events. However, we offer a printable DIY donation tin that you can download here.
Alternatively, you can source your own physical donation tin and print the Do It For Dolly Day donation tin label to go with it.
When do I need to bank my funds by?
We want you to get those fundraising dollars in the bank as soon as possible – so we can put them straight to work! Please bank your funds by June 30.
You can bank your funds directly through your fundraising page, or request our bank account details here.
Do I need to be over 18 years old to fundraise?
We welcome fundraisers of all ages but if you are under 18 years of age, you will need to ask your parent or guardian to help you with your chosen fundraising activity and provide consent in your fundraiser registration.
Additionally, we request that staff and teachers register on behalf of schools instead of students.
Can a Dolly’s Dream representative come and speak at my Do It For Dolly Day fundraising event?
Unfortunately, due to Do It For Dolly Day being our busiest time of year and the large number of requests we receive, we are only able to fulfill a limited number of requests for Dolly's Dream representative to speak at events.
If you raise over $15,000 in your fundraiser, a Dolly's Dream representative will organise to visit you to talk about the difference you have made.

Why is my support needed?
We are so grateful and appreciative of the support from across Australia to date that has allowed us to make a positive change in a short time. But we aren’t done, and we need your support so that we can continue this vital work.
Sadly, 1-in-6 Australian students are being bullied every week*, and 1-in-7 young people aged 10-14 who've been bullied had thoughts of suicide*. Your support and donations mean that we can continue to develop and provide vital anti-bullying programs and initiatives for children, families, schools and communities across Australia.
Where does the money go?
Every dollar raised on Do It For Dolly Day directly supports Dolly’s Dream’s essential programs, including:
- School Workshops: Interactive, judgment-free workshops that teach students about anti-bullying, self-worth and kindness.
- Beacon Cyber Safety App: Practical tools and trusted resources to help families navigate technology and reduce online harms.
- Bullying Support Hub: A one-stop resource for reliable advice on bullying and online safety
- 24/7 Support Line: Free, confidential counselling for families and children, ensuring help is always within reach.
- Mental Health First Aid Training: Training community members to better respond to mental health challenges and build resilience.
Are donations tax-deductible?
All donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible, so long as the donor does not receive anything in return, such as a ticket, gift or prize.
Dolly’s Dream (ABN 96 514 115 810) sits within the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, which is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission (ACNC) and is endorsed as an Item 1 Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).
