In Loving Memory of Brooke Jane Apps – Raising Our Voices for Youth Suicide Prevention

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page and standing with us in support of Dolly’s Dream as we work to raise awareness, funding, and hope in the fight against youth suicide.

Brooke passed away by suicide on the evening of November 4th, 2024, at just 22 years old. She was a daughter, a sister, an aunty, a partner, and a fiercely loyal friend. Brooke was the kind of person who lit up the room with her smile and never hesitated to help others, no matter how quietly she was struggling herself. Her laugh was contagious, her heart immense, and her presence unforgettable.

Brooke was adventurous, spontaneous, and lived fearlessly. She embraced change and never stayed in one spot for too long—always chasing new experiences, new places, and moments that made her feel alive. Her free spirit was matched by a deep loyalty to those she loved.

She shared an incredibly special bond with her two young nephews, Billy (6) and Benji (4)—especially Benji, who saw her as more than just an aunty; she was his second mum. Brooke poured her love into them wholeheartedly, just as she did with all the animals she called family. Her beloved mini dachshund, Archie, was her constant sidekick, and her horses were her happy place—her peace, her passion, her pride.

She had time for everyone—from little kids who adored her, to friends who needed a safe space, to the animals she loved like siblings. Brooke had dreams, talents, and a spark that made the world better just by being in it.

We carry Brooke’s memory forward by advocating for open conversations and mental health support—reminding everyone to “Speak even if your voice shakes.”
