A legacy of kindness and change

Our Purpose & Mission
Our Purpose
We exist because no child, young person, parent or carer should feel alone. Dolly’s Dream was born from tragedy, but it lives to create change, building a world where kindness is stronger than bullying.
Our Mission
Is to address bullying by providing prevention programs and response strategies through support and education for young people, families, schools and communities.

Our Story
It started with Dolly.
Dolly Everett was a kind, caring and talented young girl who loved her friends, her animals and her family.
A tragedy that sparked change.
In January 2018, Dolly took her own life at just 14 years of age, following an extended period of bullying and cyberbullying. Her passing shocked Australia and started a conversation about the devastating impact of bullying.
From heartbreak to hope.
In her memory, Dolly’s parents, Tick and Kate, founded Dolly’s Dream to act as a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. Today, Dolly’s Dream is changing the culture of bullying by raising awareness, promoting kindness, and providing support for young people and their families.
Hey mate,

After Dolly left us, Kate and I could see that Dolly’s story had touched people everywhere and we felt the best way to remember our beautiful girl was to start a nationwide conversation about the devastating effects of bullying.
Once the news went public, the support started flowing in. We were overwhelmed with messages of care and encouragement. Donations came from all over Australia. We want to give a huge shout-out to the rural community who despite their own hardship (life on the land is tougher than ever) have been so incredibly generous. Because of your generosity we have been able to bring Dolly’s Dream to life.
"Kate and I are just ordinary bush folk who would much rather be moving cattle than in the spotlight."Tick Everett, Dolly’s Dad
